He shoots A LOT of 3s... 33% isn't that bad at that volume. Hopefully he chooses his shots more carefully when he has better teammates. His percentage from inside the arc is almost 56% though which is pretty impressive. The fact that he puts up those kind of stats in 23 min/game is very impressive. I think he could be a very underrated pickup by Avery.

Hopefully we use him like Edwards where we run set plays for him. With him and Ferguson, you'd have to think we are going to be a good perimeter shooting team.

Fernando has seen his stock steadily rise since coming from Angola in the summer, and more and more schools are entering the fold.

Duke is showing interest, as is Marquette. Alabama, SMU, LSU, Auburn and UCF have all offered.

“Nothing’s going on now, because I’m trying to focus on school a lot, a lot, a lot,” Fernando said. “I feel like it’s the most important thing. If I don’t make it, there’s no way I can go to college. I’m focused on school.”

Fernando plans to take the SAT in the next month, and despite some talk he could return to Montverde and reclassify to 2017, Fernando isn’t planning for anything besides a college decision.

“I’m not thinking of coming back to Montverde for a prep year, I’m definitely focused on trying to get it done and go to college next year,” he said. “I feel that I will.”

The 6-foot-10 center is ranked No. 70 in the ESPN 100.

fricking Duke I swear.

We don't sign a solid center, we're fricked.

Bit of an exaggeration. While I think it would be extremely helpful, I still think we're a borderline top 25 team with out one. Hall will improve and take over and we might have the best 1-3 in the league next year in starting (Ingram, Ferguson, King) and in depth (Coleman, Davis, Key, Norris).

It was an exaggeration, but thinking about the year after next season, it would be very nice to have a solid freshman center come in and develop this year, then have a season under his belt and be ready to be relief on as a contributor. After next year, we lose King and Taylor.
