Here's a quote from Coleman in Suttles's article:

"I really like playing with William Lee, Riley Norris and Devin Mitchell," Coleman said. "I have a relationship with those guys, and I like being on the floor with them."

This is how coaches recruit. Gotta be awkward at first until you get comfortable with the kid. This is from Brannen to Dominic Magee. I saw it on his twitter. He screenshots what all the coaches say

That's pretty awesome. I guarantee our staff had it made for him.

Yea probably.

At least Brannen's wasn't this awkward:

If we could sign Coleman, Mitchell, Norris, Lee, and Hurt/Turman it MIGHT turn the program around. Adding them, Kessens, and Tarrant would give us a major talent infusion after the complete disaster the last two offseasons have been.

Yea I think this class will make or break Grant long-term. I still think he has another year after this next season unless he just tanks, but if we don't see some great results in 2014-15, I think he's gone.

We only have 3 scholarships available, but I think we take 4. I would assume we'll encourage Carl to look elsewhere for his final year.

I was forwarded this info:

You can repeat this part about Pratt however don't say it came from me. Pratt does not like Coach Grant b/c when CG first took the job he would not allow Pratt's entire AAU team to come to Bama's elite camp. Pratt has promised all these kids who were not D1 prospects that he could get them an invite to Bama's camp. Pratt had charged them a lot of money and claimed to have connections. Well CG told him that all the players couldn't come and that he would allow 2 of them to come as a courtesy even though Bama was not interested in them. Every since then Pratt has done everything he could to persuade players not to play for CG.

Unless I am mathing wrong, we will have 4 available because Releford is graduating. I thought Carl was too but I guess he got a medical.

We have 11 players on scholarship and only Releford is graduating I thought.

We do. I keep forgetting about Key.

It probably won't matter though. We will have 1 or 2 transfer. I can see Jacobs leaving if Taylor and/or Hale start eating into his minutes. If we only have 3 to give out I'd like to get Coleman, Lee, and Norris but I'd be happy with Coleman, Lee, and Turman/Mitchell.

I think I'd prefer Coleman, Lee, and Mitchell if that was the case (I mean Mitchell over Turman assuming Norris goes somewhere else)

I can totally see myself getting reluctantly excited about the 2014 team. We could have a pretty good roster.

My Kessens update: As far as I can tell he wears a jacket everyday. The heat index is a gigantic frick you and he still wears a jacket. Hopefully he has a high basketball IQ.

Apparently. I'd never heard of him or his site until yesterday.

He's going to easily be our best post player. I've heard our new strength coach has put him in great shape as well. I look for him to have a big year and you start to like him.

That'll help him a lot. He's not good enough to get by with being a fatass. Maybe his vertical has gotten to double digits now.
