Damn. Goff getting a bunch of scrubs to play hard though is a good sign.

He's had a rough year one everywhere he's been.

There should be an awards ceremony or something at the end of the season for anybody that followed/supported this team the entire year....maybe a "Golden Fan" certificate for example.

Alabama about to be swept by Ole Miss.
Ole Miss just had a RBI single on an intentional walk attempt. Jesus h Christ we can't do anything right.

Rukes is having Tommy John surgery. TideSports
Told ya'll he was overusing our pitchers. I'm losing confidence in coach Goff by the day. Might start calling him coach Goof. We shouldn't be as bad as we are.

Bama beat UAB 6-4. UAB scored all their runs in the last inning

Sounds like we tried our hardest to choke it away

I'm not going to judge Goff on year one. It was a transition year. And a lot of change in discipline it seems. Not unlike Saban's first season in 2007. But at least we had his championship past to fall back on. Wait and see, I guess.

I'm not saying we should fire him or anything, but I am losing confidence in him. Saban and Avery took over horrible situations and put together respectable year 1 teams. This baseball team is dismal. The '07 football season was miles better than this.

Worst Alabama Baseball Teams since 1970. Of course, overall win % will get worse because the main remaining games are against SEC teams and all of our gimmee wins are mostly gone.
By Overall Win %
1970 : 10-22 (31.3%)
1994 : 21-35 (37.5%)
2012 : 21-34 (38.2%)
1980 : 18-28 (39.1%)
1979 : 18-27 (40.0%)
1971 : 18-26 (40.9%)
2017 : 14-19 (42.4%)
By SEC Win %
1994 : 4-22 (15.4%)
2017 : 2-10 (16.7%)
1979 : 4-17 (19.1%)
2012 : 9-21 (30.0%)
1970 : 5-11 (31.3%)
1971 : 6-12 (33.3%)
1992 : 8-16 (33.3%)
1988 : 9-17 (34.6%)
1993 : 9-15 (37.5%)
1980 : 8-13 (38.1%)
Warren Nolan has us finishing 19-36 (4-26). That would be the worst overall season since 1970 and the worst SEC season as far back as I can find.
That's not acceptable, no matter what year it is. He shouldn't be fired, but he damn sure better be showing some results of a burn it down and build it back strategy in Year 2.

Not that I follow baseball, but I never realized a baseball team can be this terrible.
