Key pieces like Will Haynie and Georgie Salem (though Salem had a rough start in 2016) are gone, but a lot of younger contributors gave hope for the offense in 2017.
Pitching losses like Burrows and Bramblett were tough. But thought be had some pieces to be competitive.
I certainly thought we'd be better than 13-16 at this point. Part of it is a coaching change. But the talent hasn't responded like many had hoped.

Yea, this wasn't going to be a great team, but it certainly wasn't expected to be an all-time bad team by anybody I read or listened to with knowledge of the program.
It's the first year of a new regime, so it happens, but it's clearly a disappointment.

It was still tied at the same score in the bottom of the 9th... and some Ole Miss guy hit a solo homer.
