My goal was 40 wins this year. We should surpass that. Next year is going to be epic if most everyone comes back.

Yea we'll be stacked. Smith and Hawley will be gone. Moore, Wass, and Turnbull will have draft decisions to make, and I suppose maybe Keller and Kamplain too but I'd be shocked if they left. I bet Moore will be back, the other two I'm not so sure about. Aside from that pretty much everybody should be back. Just sucks that all of our home games will be in Hoover, we'll lose all the excitement that we've built with the students this year.

I want 9-6 , that puts us at 19-11 in conference.

That's mighty optimistic, but I suppose not impossible. The offense would really have to get it going. That would certainly end in a regular season championship and a national seed.

I can't wait for the gumps to come to town.

Should be a great series and I'm glad to see Alabama back to competitive baseball.

I imagine given the strengths of both teams it'll be a pretty low scoring series. I'm going to try to make it over there for it.

Austen Smith is back in the lineup tonight, apparently he took BP today and is good to go.

LINK

Free live stream of tonight's game from Tennessee. So far the sound isn't working, but at least there's video.

ETA: Audio is up and working if you can tolerate Tennessee radio guys.

Had runners on 1st and 2nd with one out after a Salem single and Moore reached on an error. Unable to score though after Wass strikes out and Overstreet grounds out. A lack of situational hitting shows up early again. We did force UT's pitcher to throw 29 pitches though.

Turnbull worked a 1-2-3 first inning. Hughston had a one out hit for us in the 2nd, followed up by back to back strikeouts. 0-0 B2. All the strikeouts are racking up his pitch count, UT's starter at 44 after two innings.

ETA: Another quick 1-2-3 inning for Turnbull. On to the 3rd. Top of the order up for Alabama.

White doubles, Salem bunts for a hit and the third baseman throws it away allowing White to score. 1-0 with Salem on first and no out. Moore and Wass single to load up the bases, still no outs. Overstreet grounds to third and they get Salem at home. Bases still loaded, one out for Smith.

Smith pops out for the second out. Tennessee's pitcher supplies our clutch offense for us since we can't when he balks with two outs scoring a run for us, and putting runners at 2nd and 3rd with two outs.

And finally a clutch hit. Hughston bloops one into left with two outs, scoring two. 4-0 Alabama, going to the bottom of the 3rd after a popout.

It's so unexpected, so when it happens it's even more exciting

UT gets a leadoff walk and a two out hit, but fails to score. 4-0 T4.

Haynie walks to lead off the 4th. White drops down a great bunt and UT's catcher makes a nice play to get him. Haynie at 2nd with one out. Another clutch two-out hit, this one by Moore, scores Haynie 5-0. Two two-out RBI hits in as many innings, hopefully a sign of better things to come in those situations.

Still 5-0 going to the fifth. Turnbull walked another in the 4th, but got an inning ending double play from the next batter.

Alabama with three more in the 5th. Overstreet walked and Smith singled to lead off the inning. After a strikeout and a wild pitch, a sac fly by Vincent scored Overstreet and another wild pitch scored Smith with two outs. Haynie then homers with the bases empty. 8-0 Alabama, pitching change for UT.
