8-1 final. Tucker Hawley pitched 7 hitless innings in relief.

Retired the last 14 he faced.

Now let's see this team kick UAB's arse tomorrow. We need this one.

Salem and Moore reach base with nobody out, but we fail to score. All to familiar story. 1-0 B4

Bramblett just struck out the side on 10 pitches in the bottom of the 4th. He has 6 strikeouts in the game. UAB has thrown 4 pitchers already tonight. Last time we played them they threw 8.

Wass singles with the bases loaded, 2-1 Alabama in the sixth. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out after an error.

Alabama 5-2 going to the ninth. Burrows got the final two outs in the eighth and will presumably pitch the ninth as well.

Good news.

Everton already lost today, can't take two losses in one day.

That's the final, 5-2 Tide. Burrows with a five-out save, kinda interesting with the big weekend ahead.

Oh no doubt, tonight was huge. I guess after seeing Castillo fatigue some in the same role towards the end of last season I just hope the same thing doesn't end up happening to him. Burrows has had to be in a lot of games because we can't score enough to put anybody away

26-11 (10-5) headed into the home stretch...

I'm still back and forth, but even a 6-9 finish should have us sitting nice. Southern Miss, Samford, and Jacksonville State (twice) are the remaining non-conference games. That scenario, assuming we sweep the mid-week games, puts us at 36-20 (16-14) entering the SEC tournament.

I really want at least 7-8. I think 17-13 will get us a regional host and at least a top 4 finish in the league.
