We won 12-6. I think that's just what we needed headed into a Tuesday matchup with Auburn and I think Louisville is next week. 2-2 this week, 8-3 overall. Better than last year, that's for sure

Louisville is a good club, we'll find out a lot more about this team up there this week. Add in the Auburn game, and this week is a perfect test with conference play starting up in two weeks

Yea we always lose this one, but typically handle them pretty well in conference play. I'd like a win tomorrow, but if that tend continues this year I'd be fine with it.

Bama tied 3-3 in the 5th.If we get one win this weekend I would be happy. If we managed to get 2 it would be fantastic.

I was just coming here to revive this thread about this series. And also to bitch that Guilbeau still isn't getting a start, and that it appears Sullivan, Keller, and Turnbull will be our three starters when we start conference play since they're starting this weekend. Louisville is starting:

Chad Green 2-1 1.59 ERA (we've already struck for three off of him? Crazy)
Jeff Thompson 3-0 1.02 ERA
Jared Ruxer 0-0 2.51 ERA

Get Guilbeu In there! That would be awesome if we could take two.

Since he started the mid-week game he might be able to pitch a couple innings if the coaches wanted him to but it looks to me like they want to stay where he is.Those games are important and we need a good pitcher in those games as well.
Bama still tied 3-3 top 8th.

They aren't nearly as important as SEC games, and I just feel like he's one of our top 3 guys.

Runners in scoring position back to back innings and we don't come up with anything.

Two hit by pitches, an intentional walk, and we lose walking in a run We play 14 innings and only score in one of them, gotta get the offense going

Definitely disappointing. Seems like its been feast or famine when it has come to scoring in most all the games. 3 or 4 one inning and then nothing. At least they were competitive and improving from last year.

I agree. This was kinda like an SEC game and we almost won.I know the scoring was down but we also held them to 4 runs in 14 innings.

We've scored in one out of twenty-three innings against Louisville

Unless we scored in the 9th looks like we were shutout 5-0 against Memphis. One step forward and two steps back

We really need to figure something out in a hurry offensively or we're about to start another long SEC season.

I really thought, at least considering how we started, that we had figured it out. Now, that's obviously not the case. Gaspard has simply been a disaster. We've gotten worse every year he's been HC. He needs to go.

However, we also need some facility improvements. We desperately need a new stadium, and we have an AD unwilling to do shite unless it's for football. And even there, he's just a marionette for the BOT. Outside of Saban, every single one of Moore's hires have been disastrous. Credit Sarah Patterson with the women's hires.

Sorry for the unleashing of all that. I've recently relocated from Tide Fans and they couldn't handle the truth/any criticism at all.
