One thing I like about Barnett, even after all the INT's he has thrown this spring, he is still out there making strong throws and doesn't look to get upset, but rather learns from his mistakes. He is gonna be a good one.

Why because he threw the only TD? Barnett looked good.

I honestly believe Hurts is the best option.

Hurts has a different look in his eyes. The game isnt moving as fast to him as it is for the other QB's. Thats why he looks 10x better than any of the other QB's at the same stage of their development. (when they were true freshmen)

I honestly think he looks head and shoulders better than any of the others.

Its not moving as fast because he isn't playing the best defense. He doesn't have Tim Williams up his arse every play. Just look how many rb screens we ran and how many were completed. Bateman looked good the last drive. He will be the starter. Barnett backup. Hurts redshirt. Cornwell transfer...

This.

The scary thing about the DL is Jonathan Allen didn't play today.

I thought all 4 had some good moments. Bateman and Cornwell were at a slight disadvantage going against the #1 D though.

Hurts and Barnett were pretty impressive though. Hurts would have gone off had he been full contact.

Yeah... Don't be scared to start a true freshman QB... We have them playing everywhere else. He's the only one that looked natural.. CNS will play the best regardless

If A-Day was the end all be all and going purely off of memory and not looking at stats I'd say Hurts > Barnett > Bateman > Cornwell today

Barnett definitely looks like he has the most upside, but he's still a bit inconsistent. With time and reps that should be fixed. I really liked Hurts, but again until he is on the field during the season Saban's track record makes me think he'll redshirt.

All in all, I don't think we'll see much of a change in the pecking order. We won't know until Fall Camp.

Yeah. that's another thing. Bateman and Cornwell had the 1st team D to go against, however they did have thebetter WRs/OL

Man this D, the pass defense should improve from last year, and it was really good last year. Honestly this D may end up better if they stay hungry.
