I'm not gonna hold much of this against Bateman, but I've always felt that he plays a little scared/timid

1st team O stinks. First Team D is pretty stout. PK is horrible and the P is back to his frosh form. Best QB so far is the true freshman. I would be surprised if they dont have some plays built in for him to play this year

I think it's mostly just lack of experience, though some is probably just his personality. Coker looked scared and timid out there last year until about midway through the season. He had a little more fire in him though, and that's just a personality difference.
Not to defend Bateman as he hasn't really impressed me with anything he's done. Barnett looks a little timid, but he's also made a few really nice throws today. Same with Hurts.

He was in one series. Pretty sure that was him who missed a deep throw to midfield.
