That’s the record Washington had under DeBoer since the start of the 2022 season. Very impressive. Michael Penix had 4,500 yards passing in 2022 and 4,900 in 2023. That is insane. Why wouldn’t wide receivers want to play in this scheme ?

Don't forget 2-0 against USC and Lincoln Riley. He's beaten all the "hot" coaches he's faced.

It's crazy, they had Odunze had 1,600+ receiving yards, Polk had 1,100+, their 2 TE's had nearly 1,000 combined yards and had tow other receivers at the 500 yard mark. Seems wild that any WR's are balking at playing in this offense.

Bond leaving was purely a money play. He got to Austin and showed up in a Lambo. Even took videos of himself picking it up.

Because Milroe has not shown thus far he will be a prolific passer. That's just not his game. And DeBoer sets his offense to his players strengths. If you're expecting Milroe to pass for 4000+ yards next year I think you will be disappointed.

Can he develop into that. Possibly. He may not even be the starting QB next year. Simpson or Sayin or Lonergan could win the spot. But at this point he hasn't been dethroned, so based on his skill set he has shown, we will be in a run heavy offense, which he probably won't average 325-350 yards per game.

He out coached Sark, who has a more talented roster at Texas, than what Washington had. Twice. In a calendar year. Also defeated very talented Oregon team that looked primed to make a national championship run. Twice in the same season. Now he has Alabama talent to work with and a better recruiting base.

Those are no flukes. The guy can flat out coach. We landed a very good head coach.

No doubt. We will see how it shakes out with Milroe. Alabama will have a talented backfield and good group of tight ends. Offensive line needs some work of course.

No guarantees he wins the starting job. I honestly would bet against it given the wealth of pure passing QB's waiting behind Milroe already.

But he surprised us all this year with his progression (up until UM at least,) so who knows how it will shake out? My money is on Simpson or Lonergan though.

Simpson is getting overlooked by so many people. Everyone keeps bringing up Sayin. Ty is a talented quarterback. It will be fun to watch with Grubb coaching the position.

Polk, Odunze and McMillan are all first round talents. Crazy talented.

milroe's passing stats are better than any of Penix's seasons prior to transferring to washington, and its not close

It has absolutely nothing to do with this and has absolutely everything to do with a massive NIL contract that Bond received yesterday.

What are the betting odds that Bond leads tejas in receiving yards next season, you reckon?
