Needs before fall camp
- add a tackle (depth or starter quality)
- add 1-2 CBs1
- add a veteran S
- add a depth piece at ILB

I think the reports of our demise are greatly exaggerated.

You wouldn’t happen to know a team that just lost its coach that has 1 of each in the transfer portal would you?

Other than that, pretty good starting 22 with a lot of experience across the board as of now (still could lose some guys). But, as of right now, anybody who looks at that roster and sees "depleted" is deep in their feelings and not assessing things rationally.

I agree. Its easy to get roped into the dumb arse trolling on the SEC Rant, but I think our roster still looks damn good at the moment.

We've lost a lot of depth at some spots, some of which we had/were going to lose anyway and some of which was compounded with Saban leaving (CB the most glaring). And we are starting over in recruiting, which should be expected.

But all in all as of right now we look pretty good for 2024 (which is still subject to change).

LOL - took the Holidays off, went to the game out West, debated whether to come back at all. Happy to dabble.

If we can keep the rest of the starters here and pull the C and CB transfers from UW we’re rolling

I bet we see Jeremiah Alexander slide inside. Also looks like these graphics are missing some guys (Jeremiah beaman, Jayshawn Ross, maybe others?)

Edge spots could go 6+ deep if you included all the freshmen. Only put true freshmen on there who would be in the 3ish deep (theoretically).

He and Russaw seem like they would make the most sense to slide inside and address depth for sure.

I actually think an even front might allow Alexander to shine in a way the 3-4 didn’t.

Alexander looked good inside in mop up duty this past season. Particularly vs. Kentucky he looked pretty instinctive and flashed some nice ability. Agree on Russaw that he could be a good candidate to cross train inside and outside.

Thanks for putting this together.

Thanks guys.

I think so - Hawaiian pointed out Alexander as well. I'd guess there is a possibility they both move inside.

You making this really makes me worried about CB depth. We’re razor thin.

Yea - we're gonna be portal hunting in the spring, for sure. That's where we grabbed Amos last year, though (post-spring portal), so there should be some options.
