One of my friends drank so much on Bourbon Street before the game he woke up the next morning and asked "Did we win?"

Sadly I was sober and it ruined my first trip to New Orleans

Yeah that game was a buzzkill. Utah fans were chanting "Urban Meyer" at the end of the game along with some sarcastic "SEC,SEC" chants. Then they did that fricking hook and ladder already up 31-17. It is amazing how one game can make you hate a fanbase and team that you never remotely acknowledged your entire life prior.

I got shite faced on bourbon after the game. Woke up in another friends hotel room and hoped it was all a bad dream.

Heard their team practiced "Sweet Home Alabama". Idk if it was before or after the game.

I look at this game the same way I look at the Fiesta Bowl vs Louisville. Sucked the way they finished, but it ended up being used as extra motivation to finish the season strong the following season, and help Alabama win a national championship.

Wouldn't hurt though to get revenge on these frickers though. Forever in their history as one of the best wins.

They can get in line with northern Illinois, Louisiana Tech, and Minnesota. I'm still pissed about the gopher band playing rocky top after they won that music city bowl in 2004. I was sitting right next to their band when they started playing it. And then played dumb about why it pissed us off.

They had a damn good point that night. Utah laid our the blueprint to beat Saban that night and I can't believe no other team has really tried to exploit that. 6 yard curls all night long.

Alabama's offense was also terrible that night. Two starting OLineman out and a turnover machine QB with happy feet was a disaster.

As an Alabama GYMNASTICS fan, I already had a pretty good dislike of Utah.

I've rooted against Utah in every game I've seen them in since.
