comparing women's soccer to Anthony Grant basketball is valid as hell.

Just a dumb comparison a better would be softball, since women's soccer is legitimately boring as hell.

How many basketball games have you seen on TV this year? How many women's soccer games? A shitty brand of basketball is still easier to watch than soccer. Fact.

thanks to the SEC Network I've seen a bunch of Bama soccer this year

If you see Coleman become a ghost town, maybe not...

This is simply not true.
I was a student at Bama during the Plaid Palace years, and Coleman routinely sold out.
I watched an "SEC Rewind" of the 2004 Bama/MSU game played in T-town over the weekend (which MSU won by one point to claim the SEC regular season championship outright), and it was VERY painful to watch. Coleman was rocking but, more importantly, Bama b'ball was exciting. The home team lost that heartbreaker (after having beaten MSU at their place earlier in the season), but proceeded to advance to the Elite Eight. The players were quick, and fearless to drive to the hoop - even Pettway. We have gotten away from that attacking style of play that emphasized the athleticism that Bama players have always possessed. It sure would be nice to return to the days when Coleman was packed - and rockin'.

Where do yall rank Grant as far as worst basketball coach in bama history?
Posted on 2/7/15 at 7:11 pm to JordonfortheJ
He's better than Hobbs, worse than Gottfried, Wimp and CM.

I'm going to say it, If I'm an alabama recruit, who has major D1 offers and Bama is recruiting me...I'm not going nowhere near UA if Grant is the coach, and I understand if real Alabama players from the state do the same.

Turn on Auburn right now and watch the atmosphere they have for a meaningless game against Ole Miss. With Pearl.
Compare that to our situation.
No contest. That's embarassing.

I'm not certain he is better than Hobbs
