Robert Horry has always been my favorite Bama player.
You brought up the Loyala Marymount game, that was a Great job of coaching by Wimp. That team was supposed to beat the pants off of us and I think they ended up winning by 2. I think we held them to like 40 points under their season average. Wimp had charisma and Fire. Grant doesn't have any charisma and doesn't appeal to the fans at all. Hell, during most games he spends a period of time sitting down and pouting, it seems like he doesn't even want to be at the game.

If athletic directors listened and believed all of the different excuses that you have listed for Grant, then there wouldn't be a basketball coached fired in America....ever. Every coach has excuses but it's his job to coach and get the most out of his team no matter what. I don't believe Grant is a good enough coach to do that.

Totally agree with you 100% Cobrasize. Every coach knows it. The bottom line is winning.

You should write your post, then write cliff-notes for that post, then only post those cliff notes.

Also, Grant is not gonna get it done. We dont have to personally know him to know that.

Grant has no personality and is not an engaging person. He seldom if ever goes on sports talk shows to promote his product. The new AU coach and even the last one fired were constantly getting on Bham sports talk shows to talk about their team. Even Sarah Patterson promoted Bama Gymnastics. I think it was Bill Battle who said that AG needed to do more to promote Bama BB. So far I have seen none of this. Promoting something brings excitement and fills the seats. But then if you produce a poor product you can promote it to death and no one gives a chit. I discount the UK loss today since this team may not lose a game.

Calipari: "At the end of the game, Alabama's players were looking at me like I was out of my mind because I was (still) coaching."

He points out the facts that some want to ignore. Grant not giving the media any access means guys like Cecil won't be easy on him.

Two teams that aren't terrible, two losses. Nobody saw that coming.
