A source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the Texans fear outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney suffered a meniscus tear against the Washington Redskins on Sunday that could require arthroscopic surgery.

Coach Bill O'Brien didn't provide much more information on Clowney's health after the game.
"We're consulting with doctors and trainers right now," O'Brien said. "I'm not sure about the status, but I will say right now that they think it's a good prognosis, so it looks like he's going to be OK. He may miss some time, he may not. Who knows? We'll know better as the week goes on."
Clowney left the game late in the second quarter with a knee injury after landing awkwardly on the ground and did not return in the second half. Clowney looked visibly upset as he walked into the Texans' locker room with a trainer.
