So where was the Sandusky tribute? They're honoring JoePa for one reason -- he won a lot of games. Sandusky was a big part of that. JoePa didn't ignore Sandusky's indiscretions because he thought ol' Jerry was a swell guy, after all. Come on, Nittany Lions. Don't be hypocrites.

The important thing to remember from all of this... if you ignore raping young boys you can be a great college football coach. Yes, by not acting for decades you ensure countless boys are raped in your showers. But you will win, and if you say the right words you will win and look like a saint.

People willingly drank poisoned Kool-Aid for Jim Jones so that's pretty mild as far as cult behavior goes.

I just don't understand.... How could a person ignore something like Sandusky? It's not like Paterno couldn't find another good coordinator. I don't think I know anyone that would ignore/tolerate it even if it were their best friend. Are we absolutely positive he knew about it? Something like this just blows my mind.

Life is to short to worry about someone else's problems.

Lump this with black lives matter and kapernick who gives a hoot it does not effect me or my family in anyway. The families need to just let it go that their child was violated. Black lives matter should just let it go because some innocent black people lives are violated. Kap should let it go because he makes millions he's not oppressed.

He deserves it. He was largely a good man. Why do we have to forget all the good things he did for players and people? He's no saint but he's not the devil.

People act like it was Joe fricking little boys instead of Sandusky.

SG_Geaux, hasn't it come out that he knew about the allegations, and for the sake of his football program, didn't do anything about it? There is ignorance and there is aiding/abetting. At the least, he is in the middle. Forgive us if that is condemnable to many. Albino Potato, you are right, he is neither devil or saint. They choose to worship him like a saint, and that is what the average Joe is reacting to.

So if it was your kid Joe was enabling Sandusky to assault... you wouldn't find him liable as well? Why are people do damn evil, they can't attempt to see things outside their own perspective???
