At this Friday's emergency board of trustees meeting, chairperson Peter Collins revealed that Florida State's exit fee is apparently $572 million. However, the university believes that's "unenforceable."...
quote:

"People outside of FSU might suggest that we are taking action now because of what happened in the College Football Playoff selection of the final four teams. They will say that we are bitter and just want retribution," Collins said. "First, I would say that leaving Florida State out of the playoff was absolutely wrong, a travesty on college football and an insult to FSU's players and coaches, as well as the ACC. Second, I will say that our actions today are less about the events of the last two weeks and far more about the actions of the ACC leadership over the last 10 years, and what confronts the ACC over the next 13 years."

If trial is in Florida, FSU has nothing to worry about.

They could have joined the sec and several other power 5’s. Instead they sat on their hands because they thought they could win easier. Sucks for them.

You can't really blame them. Every fan of every team wants the easiest path to the championship for their team.

My guess is that the Trustees wouldn’t have met if legal counsel wasn’t 100% they could leave with minimal financial damage.

FSU to the Big 10 is my guess

They're butt hurt bc they lost their key player and got left out like they should have. They're going to spend 572 million to try and get out of paying it.
