After undefeated Florida State missed out on the College Football Playoff, Per Front Office Sports, now some Florida lawmakers are looking for justice for the Seminoles ...
quote:

Florida lawmakers already have an appetite to propose state legislation to protest Florida State not making the College Football Playoff, a source close to lawmakers told Front Office Sports.

But some lawmakers don’t appear to be accepting this explanation. It’s unclear what direction a bill could take — but legislators are currently discussing multiple options, the source said.

At least three government officials in Florida have commented publicly so far criticizing the CFP’s selection process.

FSU about to be another UCF.

Yes, the ACC has never had a team make the playoffs, much less win it. I mean FSU won it the 1st year in existence with ole crab legs and petty theft. Then Clemson has won it numerous times.

UGA will go out and win by 21+ and make all these idiots feel as such.

I'm sure those Gator legislators are really going to support this.

Better hurry before FSU leaves the ACC for more of that ESPN/Disney money.

They better act soon. Once Georgia beats the BRAKES off of FSU, there will no longer be a foundation for FSU. At that point, will those same politicians ask why Georgia was denied?

That’s the one post-season game I’m interested in watching. Both teams feel left out and should be motivated by that.

Politicians think they are the answer to all problems when they are the problem. And the insuferable NCAA who is incompetent. Division 2 and 3 football has had a playoff system for 40 years, why not Div 1??? All about the money they could not figure out how to split. Next year will fix it all. Guess Auburn should sue over 2004 and also the year Richard Nixon named a Nat Champion??? Grow up!

Their opponents this year were, on average, 6-6. That's the issue. They played 2 teams from the final top 25. Alabama played 5, including 2 of the top 6. A few years ago everyone was bitching about teams having cupcake schedules and making it into the BCS. Fact of the matter is that in 1991 FSU had a choice and they went with the easy route. Decisions have consequences.

Ehhh...Idk. How much money did Fla St get screwed out of by not being selected? Conversely, how much did Bama gain by being selected? Therein lies the potential lawsuit fodder.

You have to prove you were entitled to the money. Can they clearly prove that?
