Being the best season in program history and all...I figured Moo St fans would be jacked. Top 10 matchup as well. What gives???

They are from Mississippi. It isn't their fault.

Because it's in Miami and Georgia Tech doesn't have a lot of sports fans.

The vast majority of fans who bought Orange Bowl tickets in advance were guaranteed the chance to buy CFB semifinal tickets at the Orange next year. If you don't want Georgia Tech-Mississippi State tickets that came with it, you put them on the market.

GT isn't a top 10 team. The Peach Bowl has 2 higher ranked teams. We have a tougher matchup, and State had the better season according to the rankings.

Those rankings don't matter, but they're close enough. Miami is one of the most expsensive places to travel to for a bowl game.

The stadium holds about 8K more than the Sugar Bowl venue & about 9K more than the Peach Bowl.

Long distance, Miami...

No one in their right mind wants to shell out two whole dollars for the privilege of suffering through three hours of incessantly aggravating cowbells.

Tech returned a large number of their tickets to the game in Athens this year and only sells out their small stadium when playing an opposing team that buys a large number of tickets.
