We drop to #2 for geography purposes. We'll be playing FSU in New Orleans regardless if they win so who cares. If OSU finds their way in at #4, we're absolutely dropping to #2. No way a Pac 12-Big 10 Rose Bowl semi final doesn't get arranged.

Again, no chance Oregon and Ohio St are in the field but not playing each other. Zero chance they don't play each other in the Rose Bowl if they're both top 4. Either: Alabama Oregon OSU FSU or Oregon Alabama FSU OSU
