So you're saying he's better than Bear?

I can't call someone the GOAT coach if he can't even win back to back conference championships

I think a championship this year vaults him over the Bear, yes.

I'm siding with no, not yet.

Considering Moo State and Ole Miss are 2 and 3 in the west I don't think this year cements him just yet.

I thought he already was. Four MNC in this era. He has no peers.

You should go ahead and write your version of the The Ninety-Five Theses and break apart from Alabama Football if you're going to say Saban is better than Bear.

Yes. Scholarship limitations and the recent toughness of the west.

I think he would have the GOAT resume. Whether he's actually the GOAT time coach is a more difficult question. A lot harder to judge coaching performance than athletic performance, obviously.

It's pretty close to being true. It's definitely harder to maintain excellence now than it was back in the Bear's days.

Right now it is Bear #1 Saban #2 for me and most, I think Saban wants to pass Bear's title total, but I say true. If Bama wins the title this year, Saban is the GOAT. With parity the way it is in CFB and especially the SEC during this run, this is something truly unique.

I was all but executed on TideFans for trying to make this assertion way back in 2012

I wish Saban would be cemented, literally.
