Running option plays while not taking timeouts, all the while watching his shot at Bama tick away right in front of him.. It was a very odd bit of coaching. To put it nicely. All I can think is the pressure just cooked him.

IT honestly looked like he was going for style points and not the win.

Been some suggestions that he was playing more for the close loss than risking Bama winning by an even larger margin. May actually pay off for him in the long run if they can beat OM and avoid the SECCG as a 1 loss at-large team.

That's b.s. I can't imagine he'd play to lose, and hour the dominoes fall the way you need them. But if it's true, he's planning on going in dry for the egg bowl.

That boggles the mind. You can make it close, and try to leave enough time to put a little drive together. What good is 3 timeouts with 20 seconds left?

He was saving 2 in case he got the onside kick. His players just didn't help him out a lot by getting out of bounds. The Dak option I think they just thought would go for a TD, the hole was there and fell through.

The real question is why did he go full derp in the first half.

That was absolutely terrible clock management. Why did the MSU players never try to run out of bounds? They ran toward the center of the field after every completion.

One of the teams needed to "run" the clock. We certainly weren't doing it. The three pass and out had to be the very worst play calling that I have witnessed in Tuscaloosa. Other than that

This was the derp. I'll take the ball on my 45 with time on the clock and zero TOs over 3 TOs and 20 seconds any day. You really don't need TOs to throw a Hail Mary.

I personally didn't get the option play myself. The only conclusion I could draw was the maybe he actually thought Dak could make it in b/c he has many times before. However, he had the 3rd RB in there so it wasn't like the RB was a good option. I haven't seen the replay to see if the TE was trailing for the inside pitch and Bama took that away.

And have another shot at Bama on a neutral field.

Let's play in Starkville. Neutral enough?

Tiger Stadium?

Sure. In Starkville that would have been a loss for yall. We will be allowed to have our cowbells in the playoffs too. I would like our chances.
