Are you driving a car with defective airbags?

The Federal Government is requiring all vehicles with airbags made by Takata to have their airbags repaired. They tend to explode in climates that are hot and humid. Some deaths have occurred.

Since a majority of SEC fans live in hot and humid areas, I thought this public service announcement should be included on tRant.

Note: All airbags used in Hondas are made by Takata.

If you think your car might be involved, go here to check your VIN. The website may be slow because so many people are checking their VINs.

Oh would you look at that, recall status incomplete on my car.

The SRS light has been on for about 4 years, that may be related.

No airbag issues here but I knew about the brake light recall. Keep forgetting to get it serviced though.
