I'm lookin to try a new whiskey.... I've drank crown and makers for the last 3 years and just wanting to expand my horizon... I've heard knob creek, wood ford reserve, and 4 roses are all good.. What says the off topic board

I'm not a scotch fan FWIW

ETA: jack single barrel and gentleman jack is awesome too

I know that it's rather pedestrian, but Jim Beam Black has never done me wrong.

Maker's Mark has gotten overpriced. I switched to Elijah Craig last year and haven't looked back. It's actually better than Maker's and significantly cheaper. Around $22 a fifth here in Birmingham.

Basil Hayden's is my choice for sippin whiskey.

You might get blasted for saying this from the Whiskey snobs but it's not bad. I like the flavor but it is more costly.

Jefferson Reserve is good
Buffalo Trace is good
Eagle Rare is good

Crown is not very good in my opinion. Makers Mark is ok.

Knob Creek is decent.
Woodford Reserve has a unique flavor. I like it personally

Value Bourbons

Lots of good whiskey listed in that discussion a while back.

Give Eagle Rare a shot. It's around 30 a bottle but a very good tasting whiskey.

Been on the Bulleit Rye lately. Drier than bourbon or Canadien. I like it straight the GF likes it with ginger ale.
