Well Kentucky of course.

Alabama just recently started selling it. Since it is small batch stuff it is not always available.

I told the cashier at my local ABC store if she would call me when she got some in I would give her $30.00.

She called me about 2 weeks later, and presto she was $30.00 richer and I purchased both cases (all they had).

I hope I don't run out before the next batch comes in.

Some of the whiskey in my liquor cabinet right now that I really enjoy:

- 4 Roses (small batch)
- Bulleit Frontier Whiskey
- Eagle Rare
- Buffalo Trace
- Elijah Craig (small batch)
- Wild Turkey 101
- Woodford Reserve
- Maker's Mark

Can't really go wrong with any of the above, imvho.

To kinda flip the subject but what "popular" whiskey do you not like?

I cannot drink jim beam devils cut. I drank a fifth on the way to Baton Rouge two years ago and by the time I got there I was hammered (obviously). Well then we went out and started doing tequila shots... It ended with me in my buddies garage throwing up on myself

What's a good bourbon whiskey for old fashioneds? I've done Makers and Wild Turkey 101 but I wanted to try some different whiskeys with them.

Came here to post Dickel 12. Good stuff on the cheap. Also a big Eagle Rare fan.

Big knob creek fan. It's my go to now. It tastes a little more smooth than woodford to me and has a stronger alcohol content. I either drink it on ice with a splash of water or mix up an old fashioned

Don't care for the taste of Dickel 12.

Will try again with Dickel 8.
