Now that Ole Miss and Miss. State are respectable, do we rename the Egg Bowl?

Easily the worst nickname of all the rivalry games.

Mississippians, can we not come up with something better?

My vote is for the Magnolia Bowl as Mississippi is the Magnolia state. I'm sure there is some obscure fact somewhere is this rivalry's history that can give us a better name than this.

ETA: Looks like it's either tLandmass Bowl or the Grinder Bowl.

How about a better name for the iron bowl?

No longer played in B'ham & B'ham no longer an iron city?

Maybe.

But it's ours and we love it. Anything else would feel artificial and forced.

And it should be moved. What the hell does LSU have to do with Magnolia?

No. The Battle for the Golden Egg shall remain as is.

How dare you question history of a trophy that predates the "Iron Bowl" by almost 50 years?
