Why are cars only sold with glossy paint?

Why can't I buy a new car with a matte paint instead? I saw a very nice looking new wrangler with a matte black finish. Got me thinking why don't auto companies sell those.

Why are diamonds the same?

Marketing to sheep means making them feel special when they are not.

I like matte finish as well but it kills resale.

Birdshit streaks more on matte finishes.

is there a difference in the clear coat? Always expected it was the same chemicals (from the protective side) in both.

probably matte black vinyl, matte paint sucks for durability.

And you can get matte on several Mercedes models

Buy a nice enough vehicle and they'll paint it whatever color you want it.
