re: 5* DT Shy Tuttle commits to VOLS

Apparently UNC really was in it (Shy felt at home here from the start but Momma wanted her baby closer to home):

I applaud Momma Tuttle for handling this so well. It's never easy to let your baby make their own decision. And I'm sure as she makes plenty of Vol friends (fellow Vol moms too), she'll feel tons better about it all. We're not as far away as she might think right now and getting a ride to see her baby won't be a problem given how many Vol fans are in NC.

Somebody has opened the Check book at UT again nice

I feel like that UF class had two DT's but could be wrong. I'm too lazy to look it up. We had two 5* DE's in Lawson and Elijah Daniel. Adams was a 5* DT. Daniel has been a bit of a hybrid DE/DT for us.

Regardless of if it's the first or second, it's still impressive.

Yeah UF had Sharif Floyd and Dominique Easley in the 2010 class so it's been done before. They also signed Ronald Powell, who was the #1 overall player that year. On signing day I remember thinking that had to be the best class I'd ever seen, on paper at least. It didn't turn out to be as good as I thought but they did manage a 12 win season a couple of years ago.
