The guy could have bailed when he went 9-4 in 2010 and it looked at the time that further advancement in the SEC West gauntlet was just about impossible. He could have gone to a place with less competition, better facilities, more recruiting advantages, etc.

But he chose to stay with it and finally got over the hump with a win over a top 10 team in prime time.

The Mississippi St. team I saw last night was extremely physical, tackled well in space, and had terrific game plans on both sides of the ball. They could win 10 games this year.

They looked huge. I don't think I've ever seen a MSU team so much bigger and physical than LSU.

I am not buying into that yet. I really don't think that MSU is any different than last year. The difference is LSU is woefully not ready for prime time due to inexperience and a inconsistent offense. I called this game before hand with my MSU tailgate friends before the game. As good a victory that was for MSU it was that close to being the epic meltdown loss ever too. To lose a 24 pt lead in the 4th qtr would have been monstrous to that program... We will see what they can produce against Aub, Bama, and aTm. I, like you, hope they do win out because it helps us too.

. I happen to agree. MSU is going to be a tough game for everyone they play. Very impressed with how physical they were. Best of luck bulldogs.

LSU's points only came off Miss. State's mistakes. How does that make you feel? When Miss. State has to gift wrap TDs just so y'all can stay in the game?

Les' days are numbered.

You could just look at Dak and that crew and know that they weren't going to be intimidated by that environment. I know maturity has a lot to do with that but the strength and conditioning at MSU looks to be on point. Mullen has slowly been building a solid program over the last few years. State fans are like Gamecock fans. Loyal to a fault. I'm happy for them.
