Gurley is a monster. I smiled at the fact that clemson got beat as bad as we did, but we have to welcome the team that did it in a couple weeks.

I'm more worried about our offense being able to keep up with ECUs at this point.

I think we can defend the run better than the pass.

That said, UGA's backfield is stacked and their defense that had me feeling optimistic in the first half went from shite to legit over halftime.

Line is probably gonna be UGA by at least 7

I think it will be somewhat close, if only because a few deep bombs will put points on the board.

But it's likely going to be ugly.

Cue Merle:

UGA gonna gash us with that run game. Mason isn't a great QB but who gives a shite when you can't generate a pass rush

After one game, hell, I think they win the SEC AND PLAYOFFS. They were scary good.

It's USC and UGA, NO one has a clue how it will end even the lord above scratches his head a lil when this game comes on.. If we can contain Davis and your other RBs and open up your OL we could make it tough but these are all ifs. Another key is getting to Thompson and keeping ya'll away from Mason. See ya in two weeks I will be at the LC for drinks pre-game for sure

UGA sets up better for us than A&M, that should be obvious. Clemson didn't have the DL depth and got winded; lotta talent in the front 7, not much behind it. Plus their offense couldn't stay on the field b/c their run game is so bad.

I like our chances at home if Davis is healthy and we give Williams a shot. We can rotate a lot of DL and LBs that didn't look great vs A&M, but w/ some improvement could keep us in the game in two weeks.

We've got serious issues on D but CFB is all a/b match-ups.

It's just flat out ridiculous that we don't have a line out the door (this recruiting class excepted) of talented DEs ready to play for us. Our cup runneth over should be what we're saying a/b the DE 2 deep, not struggling to convert short, squat LBs and working overtime packing weight onto rail-thin tweeners.

UGA by 10, but we won't make it easy on them. Should be a decent game.

They will certainly rush for a lot of yards. Gurley is going to go ham with our small DEs.

I just hope our D is doing open field tackle drills over and over. Our LBs and secondary were constantly approaching at bad angles and were missing against A&M. I know Lorenzo's philosophy used to be laying the wood as opposed to good form tackling. I hope this has changed.

I'm obviously worried about Gurley the most, but Chubb looked every bit as good as his hype led on. Just an unreal backfield UGA has. I'm very nervous.

And that ECU passing game

I'm still scared as shite of USC in WBS.

The 2012 game will never leave my memory and I hope for the love of God that a Richt coached team will never forget it either.

That being said Pruitt needs to keep improving the defense so we can see a total game out of them and Mason needs to start getting on the same page as some receivers. There were some moments early in the Clemson game where it showed he was still a first year starter.

I told Mr.Sinister before the TAMU/SC game that I had y'all beating UGA by 4, and I'll (gulp) stick with that prediction.

But man, y'all have fun tryna tackle Gurley and Chubb. Yikes.

Before week 1, I thought this game a total toss up and I probably would have given y'all the edge since it's at Williams-Brice. After week two, after our team answering some questions I have, I'm confident that we'll win but I expect a really close game. I think y'all just had a really bad game against A&M but I don't think it's indicative of the talent you have on your team. Spurrier and Co will have the Cocks ready to go against UGA and it will be a tough game.

I expect USC to have a better offense than Clemson did, and it'll be a bit different than what UGa has already seen. Of course, UGa gets the extra week to practice against it (seriously, a week 2 bye is ridiculous), so you have a significant edge there.

It's a difficult game to predict, no doubt. I believe USC can salvage their season with a strong showing against ECU, and we'll know a lot more about what we have after this week. The best thing for UGa to do (from a USC fan's perspective) is to read all of the headlines and buy into the hype. I want an overconfident UGa team to come in and face a scrappy, pissed off USC squad.

UGa looked great against Clemson. USC looked terrible against aTm. I'd like to think both teams are likely much more even than what either game truly showed. Then again, it's possible UGa is on an entirely different level than USC is this season.

One thing that has been evident during Richt's tenure is just how imperative his DC is to his overall success. He's not a fiery guy by his nature, and he needs his teams to take on the personality of his DC by default. This was a good thing when PornStache was there, and a disaster for Martinez/Grantham. Pruitt has a resume more in line with VanGorder, but it may still be early in his tenure to truly impart his personality upon UGa's defense. Dunno.

Gurley will run for 200. That doesn't mean SC can't win though. If Carolina can win the turnover battle they can keep it close and might pull one out
