Girlfriend and I are taking a road trip from Florida that weekend. Driving to Anniston Friday then driving heading to Tuscaloosa Saturday morning.

If anybody has access to 2 tickets is like to talk to you about em.

And, if anybody would like to take in two Florida kids to their tailgate it would be much appreciated. Trying to show her a good time

Anyways, promise we're fun. If anybody would like to meet some out of towners that'd be great!

If you need a place to hang before the game, touch base with BuccWildBammer. He can tell you how to find my tailgate.

Well shite. I'm in Lakeland tonight and this random guy asks if him and a few people he's with can sit with me and my girlfriend. Start talking about him being here with his company trying to recruit some girl to come to his company...companies do that???

Anyways, we start talking about football and he's an Alabama fan. Told him about coming up for the Florida game and he perks up and says he'll be there for it and that we should call him to tailgate.

After he left my girlfriend told me he had on a Rolex and an Alabama National Championship ring.

He seemed sketchy to me though..

He texted me and said his name is Matthew. Anyone know of any past players with that name?

And thanks for y'all's help btw.

There was a Matthew Pine on the 1992 championship team. That would make him 42ish.

Jay Barker's Genesis Group a few years ago was one of those. It was a straight up scam. Burgdorf served time for one of those. Something about that '92 squad apparently led to some very questionable business practices.

I'm pretty sure sports in general leads to some questionable business practices. I've had guys tell me "Come to this thing, man, Cincinnati Bengals players will be there!" Always a pyramid scheme.

I know that Jared Lorenzen was a Primerica "agent" or whatever for a while in Lexington, too.

Barker tried to lure people into his scheme with promises of a lot of money ($500k a month) and doing business with him, the Tide legend. The pictures on the website were basically rooms full of people in Bama gear, sitting and listening to Jay.

I grew up idolizing the guy, but he's become known privately around Bham as kind of a sleazeball.

FairhopeTider, you live in Pt Clear? We just looked at a house for sale in the Meadows last week. Tired of living in Orange Beach. Too far to drive.

I think so, my son is a freshman at Fairhope HS. It will be easier being close to school.

He sounds Sketchy to me too.

Play it safe and Tailgate with BucWild and these guys.

You got 5 weeks to come up with tickets.

I'm not sure what the cost would be but there's always tickets for sale in the B'ham News Classified.

Yeah I think I'm gonna do something more like this if it works out. The tickets shouldn't be toooo tough to come by. Definitely gonna have to fork over a nice sized amount of cash for them though. Not a big deal since I only make it to Alabama once or twice at the most per year.

Are tickets in the upper level worth spending 140+ each on?

The closer to the game IMO they'll go down a little. I paid 125 per ticket for LSU last year and that's the most I've ever paid for a UA football ticket.

If you only come to UA games much as you say then 140 may be ok but I wouldn't sit above row 8 or 9 in the UL for that price. JMO

I expect to be paying around 100-115 for UL UF tickets. For 140+ you should be in the LL. UF hasn't been to BDS in a while so tickets may be going a little higher though.
