SEC commissioner Mike Slive is spending three days this week as the Executive-in-Residence at UMass’ Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management. In a speech Wednesday night, Slive described his job thusly: “Today doesn’t exist for me. I live in tomorrow. That’s my job. Today is the job of 35 other people (SEC staff). I am the trustee of a sacred public trust, and if you live in the South, you know exactly what I mean.” Slive also said the SEC will decide at the spring meeting in Destin next month whether to stay at an eight-game conference schedule, or go to nine beginning in 2016.

Eight with the "roommate switch" schedule thing that gets brought up constantly.

Go 9 so Bama can play Kentucky twice a year and swear it's fair.

Please vote 9.
I'm tired of so many lousy games that everyone plays.
Not to mention other power conferences are going to nine games.
Makes the SEC look like we are afraid to play each other.

9 or people will bitch about scheduling for the rest of eternity.

Not only will it make scheduling more fair but will also increase the # of quality games and make for a better, more integrated conference.

Will it be harder to go undefeated? Sure. But with the new 4 team playoff, going undefeated isn't a requirement. You win the SEC, you're in the playoff, even with 1 loss or possibly 2.
