First day of the broken streak

They're calling FSU's win a "mega-win".
I was rooting for the Noles. But my lord this shows how much the rest of the country hates the SEC. I've had Clemson fans take shots at me like South Carolina had anything to do with it.
I can't wait to see what else comes up. This could be fun.

Better than saying Alabama is still the best team in the country, I guess.

If it helps any, think about how pissed they'll be when we start dominating the playoff.

I love watching SEC football.
I HATE the way ESPN displays it. I want nothing more for a worthwhile competitor to give ESPN a run for their money, because right now it almost approaches absurdity.

The rest of the country is celebrating this like it's the ending of Return of the Jedi.
Shows how weak most non-SEC college football fans are.

eh who gives a shite, bottom line is from top to bottom it's not even a debate on which conference is the strongest.

Agreed. They like storylines and they'll throw out anything that has a public backing. They helped to create the SEC mammoth around 2006 and were the first ones trying to bring it down when the anti-SEC outcry became deafening.
ESPN was essentially actively rooting for Oregon in '10, Notre Dame last year and FSU this year.

Everything is debatable.

ESPN gives and ESPN takes away. If Winston does something scandalous, for example, have no doubt that they'll cross all lines of decency to gain viewers.

I don't know.. Did you hear Musberger on the last FSU TD? He sounded like he just found out his wife has cancer.

Coincidence that the team that breaks the streak is located in the Southeastern part of the country? I think not..

didn't auburn do the sec chant in the first half? given that and the 7 year run, i don't find it surprising at all that people are thrilled with the choke job last night.

This.
It's funny how they try to act as if who won the NC game is a deciding factor on which conference is the strongest. Even with Auburn's loss, we finished 7-3 in bowls (best percentage of any BCS conference), have 4 teams in the final top 10 and 7 teams ranked. No one else comes close.

If I was a bluechip.. I think I'd rather play in Florida or Southern Cal.. how South Bend or Lincoln ever get recruits worth a damn is beyond me.

He did, and they have actively ignored it.

No kidding, and it's one of the primary reasons the SEC is where it is nowadays. A kid from Monroe, Bessemer, Little Rock, Alpharetta or St. Augustine doesn't want to play in Ann Arbor in the snow.

Just saying... Had we tossed Florida an picked up FSU streak still would be alive an Florida could play more d2 games..?

I watched the game at a bar outside of Denver and everybody was pulling for FSU. They were mostly cowboys who seemed to have no affiliation to FSU. SEC hate was my only logical explanation.
