Today is the day, a sneak preview into the future of bulldog football and the Dak Prescott era which started with the Egg Bowl and will eventually end in a National Championship(hopefully).
But first, we have to deal with the Rice wildcats out of Northern Texas. It's an exciting time to be a bulldog fan with a possible Heisman trophy hopeful at quarterback and an efficient defense. This is the first bowl game that we have played since the Gator Bowl game last year where we played Northwestern. Unfortunately for us, that game was stolen from us, unfortunately for Rice, we're coming back with a vengenance.
First to break it up.
Offense:
Mississippi State
Despite our record, any team we have faced this year can vouch that our offense has been something fierce. Dak Prescott is just now coming to terms with his ability to score touchdowns and our wide receiving cords are performing greatly. Dak Prescott has the ability to pass balls effectively but also contribute in the rushing game. Combined with the third best rushing running back, Ladarius Prescott, we're a balanced offensive attack that will keep defensive coordinators with toes for many games to come.
Rice
I don't really know much about them. They played Texas A&M at the beginning of the season and didn't come close to beating them, we nearly beat Texas A&M.
Advantage: Mississippi State
Defense:
Mississippi State
Despite our record, any team we have faced this year can vouch that our defense has been something fierce. We held the Ole Miss black bears to no touchdowns, we held Alabama to hardly any touchdowns. With play makers like Jonathan Banks and Camera Lawrence, opposing team offensives have had numerous troubles holding on to it. We done it. Our defense takes the whole house and builds the home, no sticks.
Rice
Once again, we almost beat Texas A&M, they did not.
Advantage: Mississippi State
Special Teams:
Mississippi State
Despite our record, any team we have faced this year can vouch that our special teams has been something fierce. With the ability to score the homeruns on the kickoffs and punts it, we have it all. Jameon Winston has been a considerable kickoff thread and don't discount our field goals because we have many.
Rice
Advantage: Mississippi State
We're keeping the SEC streak alive, boys and girls.

Typical Ole Miss. I didn't root for Georgia Tech when you played them. I just rooted against Ole Miss.

There is NFW this guy is either over 18 years old or not a functioning special person
My guess is a 17 year old with learning disabilities and with this I'm sorry to poke fun at you. Carry on. Good luck against those pesky north Texas cats
