Honestly, why be such a dick to media members that are just doing their jobs? He takes a nice lighthearted question and goes on this little whiny rant for really no reason. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the guy but sometimes he's just a miserable human being.

Because he is just a bitter old man. He is not human and is all about business. I do have great admiration for him though as far as getting his team ready.

He was an A-hole from the start at LSU. Just seems more of one now that he is at Bama. Is this just a coincidence?

he really is just a miserable a-hole. a reporter could ask a question about the game just played in a monday press conference, and he'll give them shite about not asking a question about the next game. a reporter will ask about a particular play or player in a post game press conference right after the game, and if he doesn't want to answer, he'll give them shite for not asking about a different play or player. if he doesn't want to answer a question, even if it's harmless and/or relevant, he's going to be a dick about it. it's just what he does. always has, nothing new.
