So lets say Auburn beats Bama and SC, LSU beats Arky, and State beats OM. Who goes where and who do they play?

And where are the East teams headed in this scenario?

And how does everything change if Arky beats LSU?

To Oxford on Saturday!

Serious question on my part....what bowl does State get if they beat us? What bowl will it drop them to if we beat them?

Same with LSU and Arkie.....That sort of thing makes these games more interesting IMO.....

The term refers to a moment of clarity my favorite literary protagonist has when he abandons the last vestiges of idealism in favor of self awareness.

Well according to LSU fans, they are going to the Sugar regardless of a loss against Arkansas if it happens.

Not sure about all the others, but I do know an FSU-Miss. St. matchup in the Chick Fil A Bowl, is all but official.

Not sure we control our destiny based on win/lose. If lose; maybe. Probably Liberty. Win - probably Chick Fil A or even Gator. But it depends on lots of things. Auburn in the NCG vs not. LSU winning vs not. Kentucky winning vs not. Even Florida winning vs. not (Gator).

I think the correct form of this sentence would be "Gator or even Chick Fil A".

Pretty sure that the Gator is one of the lower bowl games in the pecking order. Possibly just above the Liberty.

Actually, I think they are both 4,5 or 6. I don't know who goes first. I have always put the Gator higher but I don't know anymore. Isn't this our first year with a Gator tie in?

So........

Aub Win = SECCG then Win = NCG, which means
AL Loss = Cotton?

LSU Win = Sugar, which means
Ark Loss = Liberty?

Miss State Win = Peach?

Then SC SECCG Loss = Cap One?

Florida win = Gator?

It used to be a fairly prestigious bowl game and this is our first year(back) with it as a tie in.

....but it replaced the Indy Bowl and I seriously doubt other bowls ahead of the Indy Bowl would be ok with the SEC changing their pecking order.

wow...just saw the lower bowl pecking order.

Music City
Gator
Liberty
PapaJohns.

Per This , the Liberty Bowl people are pissed.

I wouldn't go that far. But an LSU win would sew up a BCS bid unless Auburn loses to South Carolina, then it could be dicey.

No. Assuming Auburn wins out.

When Arkansas beats LSU that puts us with the 2nd best SEC record, so Sugar or Cap one highly likely.

If we lose, Cap one or Cotton.

Arkansas will need much more than LSU to lose for a Sugar invite.

Quite a few teams ahead of them. Just depends on how far they jump with a win against LSU. LSU could quite possibly lose to you and still be ranked higher.
