Many have been wondering this week whether or not true freshman quarterback Brandon Harris would get a chance to play when LSU takes on Texas A&M next Thursday.

According to Les Miles, he's not ready to say whether or not Harris will get any snaps, but it does sound like the Tigers will be sticking with sophomore Anthony Jennings under center.

Wow, imagine that...if CLM ever gives up his Cush job at LSU, he should go into politics, he got the "I never give an answer to tuf questions" down pat!!!

"The QB position takes time." Mentions checks, route adjustments and other little things that take time to develop." Hard to believe that Harris is worse than Jennings at checks, route adjustments, and other little things.

I know the coaches are doing what is best for the team and I don't have a problem with Jennings being the starter, but I sure think it would benefit everybody involved if Harris was given some playing time.

"the guy who gives us the chance to make the other 10 players best is still Anthony Jennings." This is sad, I had no idea Les was suffering from dementia.

Bye Brandon. Was looking forward to seeing a Shreveport-Bossier guy lead LSU to a championship. We will never know what might have been. Good luck going forward wherever you may end up.

There’s no question Harris is not ready, he proved that at Auburn. It wasn’t even close. Jennings is the best Miles has, which is to call into question his judgment before the season started? Shouldn’t Miles and Co. pursued other means through JUCO or transfers to obtain a serviceable quarterback? That’s the question, not whether Harris should play ...

I hope that Harris will transfer. He'll make a solid QB elsewhere. Miles on the other hand, needs to get his head out of his arse and have a true competition of which his "guy" will lose.

All these guys that think Harris will come in and change the team are smoking something. Pass it to the left...

Harris may have the potential to light up the field, but he has proven that he's not there yet. Should he get playing time? Yes. I still think Jennings can manage the game better, though. Harris needs to mature and learn. He'll be great, but patience is key. Throw him to the wolves again like at Auburn and it could break the kid forever. We've sen it before.

I wonder why A&M can put their 17 year old freshman quarterback into the game on the road against Auburn and he can come out with a win but we would be throwing our freshman QB to the wolves? Seems to be a longstanding pattern.

qb position takes time, jameis winston comes in as a redshirt freshman and goes win a heisman and natty, johnny manziel does the same except no natty, current a&m freshman beats auburn with 4 passing TDs, all had/have the same amount experience as jennings does

as far as i can see it... jennings is way too far behind as his point

I supposed Jennings really proved that Les knows what he is talking about in that he gives the other 10 players a chance to win in his performance at Arkansas. I saw a lot of good reads and decisions there. Excuse me if I up chuck.

So many people take it so daing seriously, but wow - did you guys see how unprepared Harris was? This is bigtime football and he would be in the game if he was ready. Jennings, at the least, managed us a W at Florida and vs Ole Miss. And close to wining one vs. bama. He is our best chance this year (man up).

Everyone keeps saying Harris is not ready. All he is not ready for is running a Miles style offense. It is well documented when Jennings was winging it or 10 straight TD drives, he was drummming to the beat of his own drum. The staff sat him down, said you got your shot at AU, but you have to run our system, our plays, practice them accordingly, and manage the game properly. You saw exactly the same outcome...sucking. Guys, Jennings has some talent. What you see is a product of what this coach wants from his QB position. As long as Miles is HC you will see horrible, uninspired QB play. This has shown in the past and will continue to show in the future. Miles has given his new coordinators more freedom in their "honeymoon" year, but slowly pulls back the reins until you get what you see now.

did you even watch any LSU games last year?

Harris doesn't give us a better chance than a quarterback who has a 48% completion percentage?

You're either a terrible recruiter or a terrible coach. You pick, Les.

I don't believe what Miles says anymore about this QB situation. If being down to Arkansas 17-0 after a Jennings fumble wasn't enough for him to make the change, nothing will.

Even Miles admitted he's a more explosive player. We need some of that next year.

LSU is able to recruit great players at every position except quarterback. Why is that? Could it be that none of them want to play at a school with such a conservative offense? They don't want to just go out there and run i formation handoffs.
