LSU defensive end Rashard Lawerence made his return to the football field Saturday night vs Syracuse after missing the last two games with an ankle injury that he suffered in the season opener.

Lawerence looked very impressive vs. Syracuse but unfortunately injured his other ankle during the 4th quarter and left the game. Luckily he was able to walk under his own power and was without a boot after the game. Per The Advocate:
quote:

He added this injury wasn’t as bad as the injury to the opposite ankle that knocked him out for two weeks.

“He hurt his other ankle,” Orgeron said. “We’re different with Rashard Lawrence in there. I think you guys can see that. He’s our leader. He’s our bell cow. He played on a hurt ankle tonight, but he played the whole game. He got hurt, but hopefully, it doesn’t keep him out long because he makes a difference.”
Prior to leaving the game, Lawerence had recorded five tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss.

Only DL we have who can get up field and disrupt plays. Stay healthy!

Well, Key looks really bad so far, so he is clearly not the best.

Playing before fully healed can lead to an additional injury where you compensate for the first one. But then again we were in a 2pt late against Syracuse

I understand the pain Rashard. You never missed a game at Neville but at LSU you can't make it through the first 4 games without injury. Get well, we will need you next year.
