It's going to be Herman. He's too smart and loves football too much to deal with the Texas debacle. The opportunity to lead the university that puts the most athletes in the NFL, and goes head to head in the SEC west each year? Why would Austin even be seriously considered with the LSU job open?

Like it or not, UT is still considered the premier college HC gig for whatever reasons. Herman is a Texas guy and got his Masters there.

We fired the COACH who put more players in the NFL, not the university, who in their right mind would want to coach here after what Alleva did here, the boosters need to coach they think their so good at it. Nobody WANTs to come here until Alleva is gone. Too much shaky ground, never know if you will get fired. Wake up man

Worst bet is Kiffin, IMO. I just can't see him getting the job. If the same logic that's being applied to discount CEO were applied to Kiffin.... Well, you do the math.

So you might as well say it's either Herman or O!!!

1. Herman - explosive new wave offense (power spread), that is tailor made for the high school talent near LSU. Already recruits Houston hotbed and recruited in Texas for years and can lockdown Louisiana. His QB is always a dominant force and he really wants a good defense (7 of his top 10 commits this year are defensive guys). I just think this guy is the next great coach and if we miss him, not because of him just going to another school, but because of putting Coach O ahead of him, we deserve the mediocrity O will put us in. 2. Chip K - offense will work excellent with southern athletes and now that he's been in the NFL, he has more of a duty to get the defense right plus that's bonus points to get recruits. 3. Jimbo - if we are going to continue pro style, how about a guy who pretty much can guarantee we'll have a successful QB? And how about he be the HC? People want O, but what O can do is not close to what Jimbo could do. O can recruit and delegate everything and hope for the best. Jimbo can recruit, coach the hell out of QBs, put a productive offense on the field, delegate defensive duties AND he can finally now pay top money for defensive coaches instead of settling because FSU won't pay.

Explosive new offense which Navy throttled. Man, some of you just don't wqnt to deal with the fact that Houston's schedule is a joke and Herman is the main benficiary.

@rob62 what about that joke of a college football playoff he helped OSU win with his offense. He has lost 2 games total at Houston and had them ranked higher than LSU with a team full of 3 stars. You think his schemes wouldn't succeed with the talent at LSU?

Coach O in a rebuilding year after the draft cleans us out? No thank you.

Not a fan of Fisher. I believe his success was Jamies Winston. Florida State is heavily underperforming with superior recruiting (like Les), and they face weaker competition every season. He wouldn't stand a chance again Bama and Sagan, or even Houston with Herman!

I agree. Fisher has been hit or miss at FSU. I'd rather Petrino before Fisher or Fedora. Hope it can work out that Coach O can remain at LSU in some kind of capacity. DC? D-Line Coach? Asst. AD? He's an asset for the program.

Coach O is a proven recruiter and he's shown he can take over. We've had 2 games and set 2 major offensive records. I'd like to find out about Herman, but O brings alot to the table.

CEO's odds improved exponentially in the past 3 weeks. Would've been smart money to bet a little on him from the start.

I like Coach O but before we can give him the keys. He has to win every game and at least split TAM/BAMA

Yaw Yaw over Fisher? I think the bookies are a little hung over today.

Chris Peterson I believe would be a great choice. As much as I'd love to land Herman, Peterson is more proven. Also, the SEC isn't ready for his offense with LSU athletism!

That's not gonna happen. Child has special needs and Washington is the best place for that.
