LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers lost the Biletnikoff Award by one vote to Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

Malik Nabers had a shot to become the third LSU player honored with the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the best receiver in college football.

But the LSU star finished second in voting for the award, it was announced Friday night at ESPN's College Football Awards show, behind Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. and ahead of Washington's Rome Odunze. Harrison bested Nabers by one vote to win the award.

Nabers finished the 2023 season with the most total receiving yards (1,546) and the highest yards per game average (128.8) in the country. Plus, he caught the seventh-most passes (86) and the second-most touchdowns (14) this season.

Awards and playoff spots are now decided not earned.

lol. Nabers led in 99% of all categories while starting across from another 1st round draft pick and they give it to a lesser WR as a consolation prize.

The NCAA slides further into garbage.

Saw Harrison is now the second best receiver in the draft….. did not see who was first.

Stats and wins don’t matter in CFB. Only names and brands.

Take the name off of the ballot and just post the numbers and the vote would not be close.

I am calling complete bull shite. This illusion is now exposed. I’ve lost just about all interest in the NFL and now the “AGENDA” is coming to college sports. I feel like I’m watching pro wrestling in the 80’s. It’s a fricking clown show!

Nabers deserved to win but I’m shocked it was that close. I figured the national media would hand it to him.

They just had to make it look like it was that close.. they knew Marv wouldn’t win the heisman so wanted him to have this when honestly he didn’t deserve to be in either conversation.. I mean he is good but he ain’t the best

No way they let Nabors win because it would look bad on them not letting him in the Heisman ceremony and being the winner of the best WR award… narrative

Its obvious that some of these "voters" do not watch college football and are extremely biased.
