LSU senior left tackle La'el Collins was named to the 2014 AP All-American Second team on Tuesday.

The Baton Rouge native was also selected to the 2014 Sports Illustrated All-America Second team on Tuesday as well.

Collins has now been named to two All-SEC teams, won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the SEC’s best blocker and was named LSU’s MVP on Sunday. He is expected to be first round pick in this years NFL Draft.

Nice. And the dollars he would have made coming out as a 2nd to 4th rounder are nothing compared to what he will make as a first rounder. Further development through staying in school pays off, literally.
