I'm still shocked as to how this guy was even voted into office. Louisiana has some dumbass voters.

Oh yes, the onlt thing that can be cut is higher education and programs such as TOPS which benefit middle class TAXPAYERS. Let's not mention that welfare or daycare for kids of crack whores or other "essential programs" should be cut off.

It's funny how people say JBE is a joke and a liar when our current fiscal situation is squarely bc of what happened under the previous administration. Unchecked medicaid fraud, unsustainable tax breaks, continued cuts to higher education, etc. yet JBE is the rat ba**ard for trying to submit ideas to fix this in front of the camera. No one said these need to be followed to the letter but it's a starting point for discussions and the man is showing accountability and leadership by laying our problems bare for all to see. Only then can the State do what it needs to prevent disaster.

Under the previous administration JBE voted for most of the budget proposals and was on the fricken budget conference committee. He is an accessory to this mess.

B.S While the Governor makes this threat any legislature who votes to kill college football will be out of a job the next election and never ever being electable in LA again. LSU doesn't get tax money for sports.

Or...he can shutter all the worthless colleges and universities and do minimal cuts at LSU.

So the guy that voted yes on the budget, and on being the honorable candidate is playing scare tactics. The legislature should tell him to geaux f**k himself and see if he has he stomach to do what he said. If so he will be recalled and out of office before football season.
