Les Miles' son, Ben Miles who is a junior fullback at Catholic High in Baton Rouge, received a LSU football scholarship from running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson on Tuesday night.

During his press conference on Wednesday, coach Miles opened up about his son Ben receiving an offer. Per The ShreveportTimes.com
quote:

“I see a guy that’s as pleased as he can be and recognizes the great strength that LSU has,” Miles said of his son Ben. “He went through the same process everybody else went through. Certainly, he’s very humbled by it.”

Ben Miles has not yet committed to LSU, but his father feels he has an advantage with the fullback’s family.

“The dad is sold,” Miles said about himself as reporters giggled. “I can tell you that because I think there’s a coaching advantage, certainly.”

Coach's son wanted an offer from LSU....its his birthday and at the start of his Junior year the recruiting coordinator / running backs coach extends an offer...making the kid's day/year...

Come on folks... See this for what it is.

It does get the kid some attention and if 2 years from now we sign him...so be it...his Dad will be LSU's coach going OK n 14 years at that point....suggesting that LSU has success between now and then. I will take it!

Playing football for my father/coach in college at LSU would not be appealing to me. I'd probably go play somewhere in the PAC10 with the better weather and plenty of good looking women.

I bet Ben goes elsewhere. That scholarship is safe.

Saw Ben Miles at last weeks jamboree. At the time I didn't even know who he was. My initial impressions: big kid, looks strong, hard hitter, very good catching the ball turning upfield, pretty good moves with the ball (for a big man), knows how to set up blockers, very good speed (for a big man). I was impressed with the kid. I'm not a recruiter but kid definitely was impressive.

Tell me what part of my comment is untrue. I'm not a pumper that blindly believes Miles is the answer to all of our questions. tDecline

Kid is a mediocre Junior fullback and his dad makes 4 million a year, but lets tie up a scholly that could go to someone who can actually help us...makes sense

Whether or not he chooses to come to LSU, this is great publicity for his son.
