LSU head coach Les Miles was asked during his post-practice press conference on Wednesday whether or not Saturday's game against Texas A&M will be his last at LSU?

Here is what he said...
quote:

"I have no idea, Miles said. "I would love to think there's another 11 years."

This shitshow is disgusting. For all the flaws, Miles has been a hell of a representative for LSU. He deserves much, much better than this. It makes LSU look bad, especially this whining, entitled fanbase. I'm not saying he should get another contract extension or even have another year, but the fanbase definitely owes him a debt of gratitude. He has brought in some incredible talent, and sure we would have liked some more success against a certain team, but he has at least kept us on the edge of our seats. lol Hell, he has even made Sundays more interesting. We have Tigers to watch almost every Sunday on TV.

Whether he has more time at LSU or not, at least show the man the respect he deserves.

If comparing the football programs of Nebraska and Texas to LSU then compare them. Nebraska does not have near the high school football talent that Louisiana has. Texas, has to recruit against Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU and a few other Texas programs on the rise. Les Miles is not going to change because he's hard headed, stubborn, closed minded. The defensive coordinator and special teams coach were both terrible hires. The last 5 seasons were at best mediocre and at times a disaster. It is time for a change, they, LSU, probably have the replacement already. I would not be surprised if Jimbo Fisher is the new coach.

LSU deserves to mimic Tennessee, Texas and money others if they get rid of Miles. Just dumb.

Miles has maintained the program at the level that Saban left it. He has continued to get the top talent come through the program and has gotten the results that a decent coach should get with that level of talent. However, Miles has been paid like a great coach. A great coach would have gotten better results with the talent. Think about it this way, LSU's 2011 team was being considered as one of the best college teams ever. Do you think a Les Miles coached 2011 Bama Team would beat a Nick Saban coached 2011 LSU Team in the National Championship game in our own backyard? I think not. I will always appreciate the run that Miles has had. I also will never forget the opportunities that have been squandered. I wish Miles all the best.

My source in Tallahassee said Jimbo will only leave for Bama.

Hopefully this IS his last game, enough is enough.

By hiring Jimbo, the program would be making an immediate upgrade and actually give the program a chance to defeat Alabama.

yeah let's fire one of the best coaches in LSU's history. What a bunch of Rantards.
If anything you should hold to to Les for dear life. The program will go down the toilet if he is fired.

Although sad, how is it unnecessary? It is indeed necessary if LSU wants a new coach. There's no proper way to fire a coach and ensure you have one in waiting, so you're not left with your dick in your hand. Yes it's sad to see Les go, but it's time to move on and unfortunately this is how it plays out.

One more year..at least. Produce better on both sides of the ball, or that's it. It pains me to watch the offensive attack (about 6 different plays), but this young team is still very good. If Les can get the team ready to play, then he deserves the benefit of the doubt...
