Ed Orgeron Talks About His Recruiting Philosophy, Competing With Alabama

During his trip to ESPN HQ on Wednesday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron talked about keeping the best Louisiana high school prospects in the state of Louisiana and how It will help the Tigers compete with elite teams Alabama. Per ESPN Jake Trotter:

"We keep the good players, we can win a championship. That's the formula."

"It's tough when you let your best player out of state and he goes and plays for Alabama and they come beat you. So we have to reverse that. In order to do that, we either have to get the best players first or beat Alabama. I don't know which is going to come first. I hope they both come first."

Some big time Louisiana players that LSU has recently lost to Alabama include Landon Collins, Cam Robinson, and Tim Williams.

Orgeron also mentioned former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott who left the state of Louisiana after high schools to go play for the Bulldogs.
