LSU sophomore running back Derrius Guice is the fastest back in school history to reach 1,000 yards. He reached the 1,000-yard mark in just 113 carries.
The previous fastest at LSU was running back Charles Scott, who reached 1,000 yards on his 136th career rushing attempt in 2008 vs. Mississippi State.
Guice also leads the nation this season with 9.1 yards per carry.
