LSU's Spring Practice will officially wrap on Saturday with the Spring Game at Tiger Stadium at 1 p.m.

Head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters and revealed his expectations for the game.
quote:

"It will be offense vs. the defense, but it's really not about the scoring," Kelly said.

"It is more about giving certain players in key positions the opportunity to compete. We want to see some of our front-line guys go out and compete, but for us, they are not the most important players out there."

"We want to see guys like KP (Ka'Morreun Pimpton), the two running backs, and the offensive linemen that are going to play key roles for us. There are key players who need to get a lot of work in this game, and we are focused on them."

"As the game unfolds, you will see a lot of them, and you will know we are really 'auditioning' those players today. Other players will get a quick hook because we have a pretty good sense of where they are."

Love this. Meaning, the guys that are good and are ready, you will barely see them. They want to see some of the guys vying for starter and backup roles. They also want to see guys who are probably on the fence with the coaches or guys that are on the fence with themselves on if it is worth it staying here. LSU still needs to cut 5 players to bring in 2 players and stay at the 85 limit. Monday is when you'll start seeing the guys leaving, begin to announce.

Or, it's going to be situationally oriented for specific issues they expect next season. Some of you have the thinking skills of a potato.
