Brian Kelly spoke with the media after practice on Thursday and provided several updates heading into the Spring Game this weekend.
When asked about LSU's linebackers, Kelly said he feels really good about that group led by Greg Penn, Harold Perkins, and Whit Weeks. He also said that backup linebacker West Weeks has had a "great" spring.
As for the defensive tackle position, Kelly said that is a spot they will need to continue to recruit and develop and will be the only position they target in the transfer portal.

"West Week had a great spring," Kelly said. "Not a 'good spring' but a 'great spring.'"
"I think you are going to have a presence of all the guys. There are enough reps for everybody. We are going to keep them fresh and active. They are all going to impact what we do. I think if there is an area that we have depth and a high level of confidence in, it's at the linebacker position right now. I feel really good about it."
