Former LSU quarterback back commit Zadock Dinkelmann announced Monday that he has verbally committed to BYU.

The 6-5, 215-pound pro-style quarterback from Somerset, TX committed to the Tigers in February of 2014 when he was just 14-years old and still in middle school.

He chose to de-commit from the Tigers this past January.

A few things: 1) isn't his uncle BYU great Ty Detmer? 2) Very strict morality clause at BYU - no sex -no booze No thanks, but good luck to him.

Ty Dietmer/ former Byu Qb and current BYU OC is his uncle. No harm in wanting to play for your uncle.

Color me shocked. His family tradition at BYU speaks for himself. I wish him well, unless he faces us.

It'll be fun for him on the sideline in September when they get stomped.

I appreciate him committing to LSU, but there is no point in it all if he doesn't think he will ever set foot on the field....best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
