LSU sophomore guard Tim Quarterman was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday. Per SECSports.com:

Quarterman was named SEC Player of the Week after averaging 13 points, 6.5 rebounds and eight assists in leading the Tigers to wins at Auburn and against Ole Miss. Quarterman recorded the first triple-double by an LSU player since Shaquille O'Neal in 1992 when he posted 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against Ole Miss. He played 70 of a possible 80 minutes last week and made 9-of-18 field goals and 8-of-10 free throws while posting an assist-turnover ratio of 4-to-1. Quarterman has started the past seven games for the Tigers after being a tremendous sixth man for the Tigers.
